October/November

4/5 History : This week the 4th & 5th graders will begin their study of The Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, Presidential figures & the 10 commandments.

6/7 History: The 6th & 7th graders will begin studying The Civil War: Cause & Effect, War strategy & Important figures during the time period.

Language Arts: All classes just begun a novel unit on Bridge to Terabithia.

Language Arts & History Update

Language Arts: We just finished our first writing unit, An Autobiography. Thank you for making sure that your child was on task & put their best effort into their paper!! I know they worked very hard in class as well!! We will now be in a grammar/editing/language unit for the next 2 weeks!
On a side note, please make sure to practice handwriting & spelling at home with your child. They should also be reading for fun as well as reading the book they chose (which should be parent approved) for their first book report!

History: 4/5- U.S. map test on October 4th. Students should be studying for this test at home as well! I have been told there are some great interactive websites to help them study!
6/7- Learning/reviewing the World map including geography, map coordinates, as well as history of countries.
